The Softwood Lumber Board (SLB) investment direction relies on having up-to-date market metrics. This allows the SLB and its partners to react to, and often lead, market developments that affect softwood lumber demand. In this webinar, FPInnovations Lead Researcher, Dr. David Fell, will provide an update on key market metrics, drivers, and demand in the residential, non-residential, industrial, and repair and remodelling markets. The presentation will then dive deeper into an analysis of market scenarios that can potentially boost or hinder demand in the future. This will include topics such as new tall wood codes, mass timber, ultra-low energy buildings, and a non-residential market segmentation.
